Booze in Toronto Parks - 2023 Pilot Program

Here's the list of parks where booze will be allowed:
1. City Council approve a time-limited Alcohol in Parks pilot program, as outlined in Attachment 1 to this report, from August 2, 2023 to October 9, 2023, in the following sites:

Not starting until August 2?? LOL. Wouldn't want to evaluate the initiative on the whole summer now, would we?

If this happens again next year, hopefully starts at the twofour weekend and not August. I'm assuming it will continue to be a seasonal thing.

I think this was approved to be permanent today, but only certain parks.

I don't understand the restriction on specific parks, but I'll take it. Are they going to add signs of a booze here to these parks?

The parks not included are commonly because of NIMBY councillors and residents.

The city does have a generic sign it uses that is less zazzy and more easy to miss.
