I've been ordering liquor from Alberta for years now, no issues. If breweries wanted to ship to us, they could.
I used to sell beer. Now I don't.

I'm curious if this is for selection, or for price. If price, how do you ship it that it still ends up cheaper?

Mostly for selection, however when there are sales you can sometimes beat Ontario prices.

Prices are good, but apparently don't include tax, though that may just be due to me being in Ontario? The shipping really killed it, for what I was looking at. ~$63 for two bottles (750ml and 1.75l).

What annoys me is the fact that Woodford Reserve is available in a 1.75l bottle. I could use similar savings at the LCBO, but it's not an option.

I always order 6 bottles. Shipping is still the same, so it works out to $10 per bottle.

Damn their scotch selection is so much better than the LCBO. So many of smaller or new brands and even a good selection of independent bottlers
I'll have to bookmark that for later

Replace them with Canadian "imported shelf talkers".

I realize this is Manitoba, but their Premier Wab Kinew spoke about alcohol a couple of times saying that the PM & premiers discussed it today, and that an MOU on interprovincial trade could come tomorrow.

The LCBO treats beer from other provinces as imported. When I added upcoming stuff I separated provinces and countries. If American stuff is not on shelves, that leaves more space (hopefully) for domestic producers.

Looks like everyone is on board except PEI and Newfoundland.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how this translates to LCBO shelf space and/or what the implications for shipping to your door are.
