Another Beer Fest has come and gone at the 'Judge and I'm glad to say it was another rousing success. Two new beers made an appearance, Magnotta Weiss and Church-Key Holy Smoke, a peat smoked ale. Both were excellent. This is always an terrific venue to talk to people. I ran into Kent there, who seemed to be having a good time. It was nice to talk to him. (Beer knowledgeable people are always a treat to talk to.) Joe Cappadocia was there on Friday evening with his lovely wife, we spoke as well. I wish I could see more bartowellers on my trips "down south". Perhaps I'll be able to make the next pub night.

Or perhaps we should take Bar Towel on the road to Ottawa?

When Scotch Irish opens its mini micro brewery in Ottawa, all bartowelers will be invited to the "grand opening". Refreshments will be served.

Luc, the pilot brewery should arrive in about 18 months if all goes to plan. The bottled Sgt. Major's is scheduled for January-February.
