No - I'm not advocating handing out brews to the neighborhood children...

Just for fun - anyone have any favorite Haloween-themed beer names?

Off the top of my head - Pendle Witches Brew, Black Cat, RCH Pitchfork, Merlin's Ale, Skullsplitter, Nightmare Porter, Dead Guy Ale, Dixie Blackened Voodoo, Wizards Ale... I guess any of the "devil" beers would qualify - Duvel, Maudite, Belzebuth, Lucifer, Old Nick, etc. - and of course, anything from Fantome.

Personally, I think Molson is pretty scary...

Some German brewer had an altbier called Neewollah Bier. I was told it was a test market, and didn't do so well, but I've kept the bottle as a souvenir anyway.

I remember getting a 'sales sheet' about Neewollah ('Halloween' backwards), but then it was never offered for sale. I've never actually seen a bottle. What'd it taste like?

I think it was from the F. Josef Sailer Brewery. They do a lot of strange bottlings of altbiers - egs. all the 'collectible' Jubel and Jubelfest bottles, 1 Liter ceramic swingtops, etc. Of the ones I've had - they all taste pretty much the same, and pretty mediocre. Interestingly, their Jubel Christmas (ceramic bottles) was actually a pretty damn good Munich Helles lager. - kinda strange style to pick for a winter seasonal, though...
