There was a bunch of posts about putting a buying group together to score a case of this. I can't find it now, but I can take 9 bottles for various individuals who want to see what all the fuss is about. So where does that leave us?

It's in the Beer Reviews in the Florigaarden Passion thread.

The following people said that they would take one:

me
Kent
Kid Presnetable
GregClow
DukeofYork
Andicus

So that's 6 + the free one + nine
=16 so that's 8 to go. What the hell I'll take 2 so that's 7 . . .

Sure. I'll take an additional one as well (a total of 2).

6 to go...

I'll take two if it helps...

5 to go....

What the heck, I'll go for a second bottle! If it's as bad as it sounds, it might make for a good gag gift (pun intended).

To me this is basically a done deal, right - just a couple bottles to go. I hadn't taken one for myself but I will and then that leaves one.

I would say it's time to work on the logistics of getting this done.

I'll take a second bottle if there's an extra to be claimed. I can think of a couple of friends who would appriciate it as a gag gift for Xmas.

I can see the logistics of getting the bottles to everyone being pretty hellish, though. Could it be worked around a Bar Towel pub night, perhaps?

I insist on drinking my half bottle in front of the Nestle Canada offices on Sheppard Ave. West so unless everyone is prepared to meet there, count me out!

So folks, are we actually going to get a case of this shitty beer or what? Any thoughts on how to get this sorted?

We should have somebody take delivery prior to the Royal York event. Then we could disperse as much as possible at that event, and the rest can be arranged later.

greg ... "shitty" beer is ... a little strong. maybe "peculiar" or "experimental" or "strange" even. at the end of the day, there is a taste for everyone, yes?

it's sweet, chocolaty, and tastes like pudding. no hops, grain or yeast aromas.

but it's beer.

me.

I agree, I asked if Floris Chocolate can be brought in because I know it will sell very well at Smokeless. And I'll probably be able to sell at least 4 to five cases in December alone. There are alot of beers that are unique and might not be for everyones taste. Quidi Vidi Kriek which was slammed here, did very well for us.

Sorry, I often forget that facetious comments don't always come across properly when written. I'm just playing on the "worst beer ever" reputation that Chocolat has earned (deservedly or not). Who knows, maybe I'll actually end up liking it myself.
