Just did the Bar Towel Montreal pub walk with Maudite, myself, Skinner(from Walkerville), Dq, Franny,Troy, Aaron and Ben(Klb). A big thanks to Benoit for the map and Bartowel for the guide!
Had 17 different beers in six prewpubs in two days. Also we headed out to Forke du forchete which had every Unibroue beer available, at what seemed like less than cost to buy it in a store! The sink taps were beer taps and there was a medival themed wedding happening as we drank. We were on the patio right on the Chambly river. We then went inside and had a gourmet 3 course meal with beer included for 22-27 bucks. What a day.
So we hit every brew pub on the guide along with one called 3 Brasseurs.
Big highlights were definately Don de ciel (a must), having a piment beer at le cheval blanc (Holy pepper beer batman!) and the weather couldnèt have been better that week-end.
We stayed at Mcgill for 44.93 a night (taxes in).
So whoès in next week-end. (does anyone know how to turn the accent letters off an Emac keyboardÉ)
I¨ll post the beer I had with comments this week sometime.
-Yum Yum
