Madison & New Glarus

Post by Cass »

So I've got a big beer weekend coming up.

Friday & Saturday in Madison, WI, with a stop in New Glarus for a visit and beer haul.

Sunday night in Munster, IN for a drinkup in Three Floyds before coming home on Monday.

Would be a shame to not stop in Chicago if I wasn't going to be back there next weekend :-)

Will report back any interesting finds.

Lucky... I love Madison. A real beer town (and university town too).

It's a very walkable, has some great pub atmosphere, and good bottle shops too. Let me know if you want any recommendations.

The Grumpy Troll is a neat spot if you're looking for a meal on the road trip.

Quick checkin from Madison - fantastic place.

Such a friendly city, great pubs and people. Will report back more in a bit. Been to about a dozen spots and have been very impressed.

Got an unplanned extra night here as on the way from Mount Horeb with an eventual destination of Munster, our tire came off on the highway. Luckily we were all safe and right in Madison when it happened. There are defintely worse places to be stuck :-)
