Brick rebranding Waterloo line-up
Brick rebranding Waterloo line-up
It looks like Brick is about to start rebranding their Waterloo beers as the more craft-oriented side of their business. (Sort of like what they tried with the J.R. Brickman line a few years ago, before it was cut when Jim was given the boot.)
Later this month, they'll be launching a new beer - Waterloo IPA - in a new style of can:
And around the same time, they'll be relaunching Waterloo Dark with a similar new look:
Curious...

Well, on the abv side it's only 5.2%, so it is on the low end - but maybe it makes up for it in bitterness?
Interesting, anyway. I don't know why, but maybe it's because I'm from Waterloo, and maybe because they are an early independent brewery, but I am really rooting for them to make good beer.
I just don't think re-branding (a la John Sleeman Presents) is going to do it.

Either your sense of humour is going over my head or you have yet to be exposed to one of the worst beers that Ontario has seen in a long time.GregClow wrote:Or it would be, assuming Rickard's IPA actually existed...TheSevenDuffs wrote:Hmm ... sounds like some competition for Keith's IPA and Rickard's IPA...

funny enough it's not really like Keith's. it's darker and has a different hop to the nose, though very light.TheSevenDuffs wrote:Hmm ... sounds like some competition for Keith's IPA and Rickard's IPA...
