He'brew Jewbelation Sweet Sixteen

Holy crap! This is a big beer! It's almost an Impy Stout, but the lack of roast is noticeable. It's almost an ASA (Ratebeer lists it this way), but the maltses overwhelms the hopses. Enough booze to be a barleywine, but too much caramalt. It's complex, but everything is in balance, including the booze. I think this will age really well, but it is excellent right now.

I had this one last night and really enjoyed it. Very complex flavour profile including roast, licorice, tobacco and a big piney hop profile. I think i will pick up a couple more to see how this one develops with some age.

Same here. It seems that time would do well with this and that a year or more might let those roasty flavours really shine.

Drinking about half a bottle tonight and will see how it handles a bit of O2 and drink the rest tomorrow...

It's boozy and the first half of the glass, it was a little difficult, but the second half, I'm picking up the flavours Duffs indicated. The booziness becomes nice, almost "whiskey-ish".

Really good, but I'm starting to think I need a break from 10% this and Barrel Aged that. I might need some time just to spend with some milder English Pale Ales, like Pompous Ass, and *gasp* nice crisp lagers. Maybe it's that I'm getting tired of winter...

Edit: (Monday night) Yep, better the second day. More of the chocolate and licorice come through and some how easier to drink.
