Had their Layla Pinot Noir Brett Sour tonight... incredible stuff. One of the best sours in recent memory. Can definitely stand up to those south of the border. Find it. Buy it.

Wonder how many bottles were shipped out? Even the brewery only had limited stock...

You're just snagging a bottle or two of all the releases like this for me, right?

That's a lot of product. Hard to believe the QC can go well across such a large list for a relatively young brewery.

When are they doing this?
Brands are for cattle.
Fans are cash cows.
The herd will consume until consumed.

I've had a few of their offerings that have been quite good. I am looking forward to this if I can make it.

My top three are:

Sons of Sydenham (SOS)
Peach Don't Kill My Vibe
Layla (although some have questioned it's balance)

Their everyday offerings are:
Stone City Windward (Belgian Wit)
Stone City Uncharted IPA (American IPA)
Stone City 12 Star (Session Ale)
Stone City Ships in the Night (Oatmeal Stout)

Of which Ships in the Night is the best IMO. While Uncharted won best Ontario IPA, it won that on text book style instead of being the best IPA out there. Windward is a bit thin for my liking as a wit. 12 Star is the meh.

Devil and the Deep is a good American Sour by Ontario standards.

Single Handed Rakau is a weird tasting hop that is nicely balanced with the wheat.

Sirena Spring Saison is slightly unbalanced but refreshing saison.

Iron Lion is a strong ABV tasting imperial stout with a hint of rum.

Juggernaut is more bourbon than stout.

Tijuana Sunrise is like a cross between a bud light lime and a Mad Tom. Great first few sips then it becomes tiresome.

May Day is okay-ish. Bitter with mild spice and citrus.

Night Watch is an average porter with a hint of rum.

Ladies First was a jumble. Lots of chocolate, mild bourbon, but was dominated by medicinal cherry flavour.

Haven't had the others.

It would seem that many of these are cellared at the brewery from 2015. Sirena and Ben's bitter is the most recent releases.

Most of the list is sour or barrel, meaning they weren't all brewed in a rush to do this takeover. QC ought to be possible for all that.

Of course, as a new brewery trying so many different things I'm sure the quality will vary. But this is exactly the sort of brewery I want to support in Ontario, since they are trying interesting things.

Drinking Everything is Purple right now. Very light and crisp with a sour berry finish. The malt profile is too thin IMO, but it's a decent refreshing beverage. Has some white wine characteristics. The colour is awesome though.

Another update, Skeleton Park is decent session Ale. Lemon citrusy similar to GLB Sunnyside.
