Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

My you beer guys are a sensitive lot, quick to be insulted but even quicker to take the debate down a few notches with vulgar language...how crude. I stand by my friend rabbit, although I don't know him, and a pox on you non-meateaters and your mealy-mouthed defenders. On that note I will retire fro...

I think that the lack of variety available in the District is a big negative. It's great that Mill St. brews there and it's fine that everyone's pouring it but it makes for a one dimensional beer scene. When I go to a bar and am going to have 3 or 4 beers in an evening, I usually have 3 or 4 differe...

Man, bofderline, you're taking this one very seriously. OK already, Wittekerke is a tremendous example of the brewer's art, there, I admit it, but I won't be buying any at Smokeless' which will certainly leave more for you. Cheers and enjoy your tavels.

If it's one of the better ranked wit beers in Belgium then why do you refer to a British beer writer who has sold about a total of 4 books in North America (I guess you've got one of them) to back up your contention. The fact is Wittekerke is not widely available or known in Belgium as it's a small ...

I've had both. The Montagnarde is a decent strong Belgian ale but the Wittekerke is far from being an "excellent" wheat beer, it's passable but not worth wasting dollars on as there are far better Belgian wheat beers out there and I'd opt for a Hoegaarden or a Brussels White any day over t...
