A Basket of Fruit at Smokeless ...
I know that I said I was retiring in another thread but I just can't pass this one up....some of the worst lambics in the world are brewed by de Troch (pineapple????...banana???? give me a freakin break man) so it's nice to see them all together at Joe's so one need only invest in one evening of wretching to sample all of their swill...I know these are harsh words which will no doubt offend some but they are my last words...arrivaderci my dear friends.

Hmmm... the way you talk about beer makes me wonder wether you actually like the stuff, or wether you are just trolling. I guess I am going to take a stand once again and disagree with your extremist comments. I like the diversity that Chapeau has introduced to the world of beers. I also think that their kriek is one of the best examples of commercial (read sweet as opposed to dry, complex) fruit lambics available. I in fact still have about 40 bottles left from my horde when the LCBO last brought it in.On 2003-11-11 12:40, bulba wrote:

I had the banana product this summer and cannot laud it, but the fellow I was drinking with loved it. Thank god brewers are not brewing only to suit your palate (or mine, or the next beer geek for that matter). We are far better off with brewers who try to break the mould. We have enough breweries making copies of what is already out there.

I agree.
Beer was made to be enjoyed, so if this is being accomplished, nuff said. Beer is like broccoli. I hate broccoli. But for me to state it is a bad or terrible vegetable would be unfair to those who havn't tried it or to those who like it. I'm going to say I don't like broccoli.

FYI-Anyone who takes my BeerBroccoli comparison seriously has had one too many.

Oooh, should the Brussel Sprout one be heated like the Quelque Chose to bring out the full flavour? Perhaps it could be further embellished with essence of boiled old-socks for good measure.
It is like a dream come true.
Sproutastic.
