Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

Didn't see either, but I did get my hands on the Rocs Blonde, a Chimay bleu, and a DFH 60 min. When I first saw the bill, I thought I drank too much for my own good. Prices are shockingly low there. Too bad the music is unbearably loud. The layout could use some improvement too.

Darn, I wish I could get into Ptbo for the tasting. I'll have to send my dad instead. Do you know what night they are doing it? Unfortunately, it was last Wednesday. And, unfortunately, he sold 'em all. NOOO! Why now when I'm out of Peterborough? :( I really hope they have it in September. It'll be...

If the Mill Street can live up to the Asam, then I will be very impressed.

Pick up the Exclusive Belgian Ales pack, or head to a bar that serves microbrews (i.e. Volo or Smokeless Joe's), and order yourself a Gulden Draak. Very good barley wine. Gulden Draak isn't a barley wine, it's a Belgian strong ale. Barley wines tend to be based more on the UK ale tradition rather t...

I will give those a try! Thanks for the info. And I'm glad to know many of Veronus' beers will be back in stock. I do plan a few summer visits. So I know just where to go! :D

Yes incredible place! And never hiring too... damn, I was hoping to work there for my third year. Start off a dishwasher and work my way up to waiting hopefully. Not much better paying jobs for students than waiting tables. And I love the place. The architecture, the woodwork, the food, the beer (wh...

Let's also not make generalizations. I am not considering anything above $4 expensive. As I said, Volo has very fair prices all around (save for a few beers, i.e. Rochefort 10 at $13). I go more often on Fridays than I do Mondays. However, the prices of Smokeless Joe's and Volo differs quite a lot i...

Prices of Toronto Pubs

My personal favourite is Volo. Nothing has topped it in terms of its selection and prices. Although, I think the best 'beer restaurant' I have ever been to is in Peterborough; St. Veronus. The food is beyond incredible, and the prices are shockingly low. The beer is great as well, but usually out of...
