Darn, I wish I could get into Ptbo for the tasting. I'll have to send my dad instead. Do you know what night they are doing it?

Unfortunately, it was last Wednesday. And, unfortunately, he sold 'em all.

NOOO! Why now when I'm out of Peterborough? :( I really hope they have it in September. It'll be the first thing I do after settling down.

I'm pretty sure the Only doesn't have it. I'll be in there sometime this weekend and check again, but I'm 99% sure it's a no.

I thought it was $7.10 including tax at the Only, same as all other Trappists?

That Rochefort 10 sure goes nice with Belgian Waffles (weekend brunch goes until 2 or 3 PM.) Failing that, Abbaye Des rocs Brune.

Didn't see either, but I did get my hands on the Rocs Blonde, a Chimay bleu, and a DFH 60 min. When I first saw the bill, I thought I drank too much for my own good. Prices are shockingly low there. Too bad the music is unbearably loud. The layout could use some improvement too.

All 3 have been available at Gambrinus for some time now.

Unfortunatly I can't make it tonight. I am wondering how much the Westy Trio cost and what size samples were served?

$30 for 3 oz samples of each of the blond, 8 and 12. The blond was awesome, the 8 and 12 were as expected.

I need to visit buffalo and stock up on some Rochefort 8 & 10!

It was unique and most agreeable. I had never had the opportunity to taste any of the Westvleteren beers, let alone all three. Thoroughly enjoyable.

There's a hitherto unconfirmed rumour (from a very good source) we will be seeing Westy available here in Vancouver before the end of spring. I will keep you posted if it happens.
I don't always piss in a bottle but when I do...I prefer to call it Dos Equis.

I'm glad I went yesterday. I hadn't tried the 8 and 12 before and they were both awesome. It probably didn't help me in my basketball game later that evening, but I don't get to have Westys everyday.
