Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

This is a bit different - in how the beer came about, and how I found out about it (local news item). Unique Beertown blend Bone Pine Hazy IPA hits LCBO shelves Despite what the story says, I don't see on the LCBO website yet. I've had it on tap a few times. It's exactly what I expected: If you're ...

93 comments and growing? Nope, not gonna read a bunch of people's opinions and complaints when the obvious answer is "don't like it? don't go"

Yeah I've bought it many times as well. Delicious.

I still say Macleans Pale Ale is the best/most readily available English style beer in Ontario. Just wish there were more.

BartOwl wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 2:55 pm British IPA is one of my favourite styles, so having it make a comeback would be nice. Fuller's had a double IPA, which was British, and I liked it quite a bit. It was at the LCBO a few years back. I would like to see more of that type of beer...

Re: Beer & Brewing Critiques & Pet Peeves

Biggest pet peeve currently is old beer being sold at the brewery. If it's still on the shelf at the lcbo, that's one thing, but when I go to the source don't sell me 6+ month old beer.

Re: Bloomex Beer Club Delivery

so whats the skinny on this?? Here's the story. Go pour yourself a "fresh" beer and read on... So I received my beer delivery two day later, so quick and easy there. However before receiving my delivery I saw a Facebook ad for the service, which I clicked on, put the same item I had just ...

Re: Bloomex Beer Club Delivery

So I got a call this morning from Bloomex asking if I wanted to get in the beer club. I asked them how they got my number and they said it was from when I got the free 6 pack of Express Beer back in December 2023. Before I could say anything he asked me how that experience was, which I told him &quo...

Re: Bloomex Beer Club Delivery

I suppose their prices are good, but I find it hard to believe they can run a business and undercut by much if any. The prices are unbelievably good. $2.50 per can and they're showing Dominion City, Mascot, Sawdust. Since I live in a small town with little selection (although I've had almost everyt...

Jordan maintains a database & map, updated in December from the looks of it:

Re: LCBO & the Trade Wars

I'm curious if this is for selection, or for price. If price, how do you ship it that it still ends up cheaper? Mostly for selection, however when there are sales you can sometimes beat Ontario prices. https://www.bswliquor.com/ Prices are good, but apparently don't include tax, though that may jus...

I've been ordering liquor from Alberta for years now, no issues. If breweries wanted to ship to us, they could. I'm curious if this is for selection, or for price. Only growlers I've picked up in post-covid times are from Block 3, but even that's pretty rare.

Re: 46 North (Sudbury)

Been there twice, definitely the best brewery in Northern Ontario imo. Cool space, lots of IPAs (mainly hazy), and overall the beers are good. Not great, but I don't think anything in Northern Ontario is great, so this is the best of the good.
