You're right if you think the SIB beers are better on draught. The bottling process used at Heritage allows too much oxygen into the beer, which starts the staleness clock ticking right away. The draught packaging process is much simpler and is almost bullet-proof.
Hoppy New Year.

Scotch Irish Beers
Hello folks, it's your old pal Perry. I was in Germany enjoying the worst European winter in 50 years when the Heritage sale went down. I hope Ron and Donna enjoy their retirement. I also hope that the S-I brands that they own will continue to be brewed, even though that I have no financial interest...

Hi
Just a note to say hello and that I remember you all fondly. I have not given up the dream of Hopping Wolf- just postponed it until times are better. Heritage continues to brew the old SIB beers, though I don't have the courage to taste them. If they are not up to scratch, my apologies. The TFOB has...

Hopping Wolf is in the advance planning stages now. It will be in the Ottawa area, even though I realise that most of my sales will be in the GTA, Hamilton, Kitchener and export. Two core brands are planned, a hoppy and bitter PacWest IPA (duh!) and a porter of some kind. The rest of the line-up wil...

Michael, congratulations from one of your most ardent admirers. Cool Beer has first rate equipment and QC. When Church-Key brewed my beer, it was bottled at Cool Beer and Jamie's approach was top-notch. I wish you the greatest success and I hope that someday your world-beating Weiss will come out as...

Hello from Perry
Hello to all the beer lovers and "true believers" out there in BarTowel land! I have taken a break from the brewing world and am currently (successfully) selling Toyota and Lexus automobiles at the 3rd largest Lexus/Toyota dealer in Canada. Brewing is never far from my mind though as I con...

Perry is no longer at Heritage Brewing
Hi folks, Just a note to say that I am no longer with Heritage Brewing. I am now free to persue "other projects" Although I may not be directly involved in the beer industry at present, I will keep a keen eye on what's going on and I will pop up at certain venues from time to time. ...
