aging goudenband
The best before date from the brewery is 10 years on this brand. Although we were talking to a guy from Riva who told us that they have had Goudenband 25 years old that was absolutely superb. The beer itself will mature with age and take on more of the sour attributes and less sweetness it has when ...

LMAO
You guys really are a funny bunch....I like it. Always fun to come see what's going on. Just for a little clarification though...because after the Saint there is a vowel..the 'T' at the end of Saint is given sound. As if to push off of it into the Ambroise. Phonetically-----Sein - TAmbrwahz

Liefmans
The discontinued sticker is just he LCBO's way of letting the store level that the product is no longer available. The product itself is not discontinued as there was nothing permanent to discontinue. It was a one time buy and may be so again in the future. As with any of the seasonal one time buys,...

Frambozenbier
I would definitely cellar it. The sweetness will subside as the beer goes through the second fermentation in the bottle. I found this especially true with the Goudenband.

Frambozenbier Shelf Life
The shelf life of the Liefmans Frambozenbier, Kriek as well as the Goudenband is 10 years. All of their beers will definately mature with age as the base of the beers is indeed the Goudenband which only gets better with time. Hope this helps.

Goudenband
The price of the Liefmans has to do with Liefmans themselves. They have chosen to re-position themselves as the industry leader for the styles of beers they produce. As such have raised their prices GLOBALLY. We have kept the price lower here, than anywhere else in Canada, but I guess that is consid...

Goudenband
Fellow beer lovers....I just wanted to pass on the info that the Liefmans Goudenband is currently sitting in the LCBO warehouse set to be distributed to the stores the beginning of April. The LCBO has ordered 288 cases with a distribution list of approx. 90 stores. If you are able to sit on it for a...

LTO's
note to everyone, when the Beer Store has a sale on anything other than the big brewery swill, that means you should check the freshness date. LTO's have noting to do with The Beer Store or the LCBO. Each brewery decides if and when they want to place a product on LTO for a special price. Product f...

Griffon Red Ale
Gents, You are all correct in your remembrances of the Griffon Brown Ale. It is the same beer but has been re-branded as Griffon Red Ale in English Canada and still Rousse in French Canada. The tap handles and table tops still say Brown Ale but we are in the process of changing these over as well. T...

Thanks for the concern and heads up on this Peter. We will definately keep it in mind. As an add in on them, we have been representing Liefmans in Quebec for a number of years without any of these issues. In fact Liefman sales in Quebec is flourishing both on draft and at the retail level. Cheers! A...
