I think I actually preferred the single barrel. I Have so far only drank one bottle of each though....need further research to decide.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Oskar Blues G’Knight Imperial Red IPA. Exceptional. A beer that is beautifully balanced between the malt and the hops. IMO this is something more beers in the DIPA category should strive for. A truly great beer. I really enjoy the beer as well, on the few occassions I’ve seen it. A pretty good barg...

Re: New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS

Remaining bottles of Founders CBS have been reduced to $6.65 across the province. Quite a steal. Respectfully disagree. The sale started over a month ago and it seems LCBO still can't get rid of the stuff at that price. I found the CBS very good, but not great, so $6.65 is still too high for me. Wi...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

I’ve got another one in the fridge and will re-visit. Maybe I had something before hand that affected my palate(I can’t remeber now). I almost always like to try a beer at least twice before writing it off. As far as low abv beers, it seems that the session/low abv ipa just doesn’t really do it for ...

Re: Coming Soon to the LCBO

IPA No. 10 listed at LCBO https://www.lcbo.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/lcbo/ipa-16022066038/collective-arts-project-ipa-10-11983#.XQJocHdFyUk This is an incredible beer. Can't believe how full bodied and flavourful it is for the abv. You'd never know it was 3%. I just finished one, and thought...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Fairweather Modus sour ipa-excellent stuff as always from Fairweather. Anderson Brut ipa- really nice and dry, crispy. Possibly better than the CA brut ipa. Still miles behind Merit’s brut ipa for the best one I’ve had. Still chasing the dragon on that one. Lots of cans of Barncat Space Juice-typica...

Re: The A to Z of it

A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir Here is a theoretically 'textbook' Pinot Noir for about $25 and still I'm truthfully not all that excited. It's perfectly fine, with good harmony and some nice acidity. It's my first Oregon Pinot Noir. There is black cherry and stuff. Some beetroot, some layering. What i...

Re: Show at Rebel Toronto...

Last time I was at rebel, we just spend the afternoon before hand at Barhop. It was about a 15 min Uber to the club....can’t remeber the $, far too drunk for that.

I’m pretty sure “Hazy state” is a new CA core beer.....

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Flying Monkeys Sparklepuff Triple IPA. This is the second time I have mentioned this beer but it’s worthy of reiteration. One of the best beers-non-Collective Arts category-currently being brewed in Ontario. Honestly, this beer wasn’t my thing. The 2 cans I bought were really nice and hazy.....not ...

Re: Uncorked-Wine and Spirits Appreciation

Not a bourbon drinker by any means, and this comment may seem ignorant, but what about hitting it with a tiny tiny splash of water like doing with a single malt scotch? ?

Re: Cowbell Brewing

Those prices do seem a bit extreme. What I’ve had from
Cowbell(through the lcbo) I’ve enjoyed quite a bit...actually a lot more than I thought I was going to. Haven’t had the chance to visit the brewery yet, although it looks like a great place. When I do, I’ll have to be sure and check the prices :o

Fairweather Old soul-a perfectly balanced beer with layers on layers of flavours all carried by the perfectly carbonated silky smooth body. Fairweather Small hours-blackcurrent sour stout that was really good and unique. Fairweather Happy accident-can never go wrong with anything hoppy from Fairweat...

Re: Side Launch - Mountain Lager discontinued - WTF?

Can't say that I've ever been impressed by a Side Launch offering. Lately my fridge beer is 60% German-inspired Godspeed stuff, and I make sure a few cans of Side Launch Wheat are always in there too, it's a necessary staple. The Erdinger Weissbier tapped at Beer Bistro was also heavenly. Even unex...
