Re: What're you drinking right now?

Sipping on Barncats Vanilla Late Milk Stout. Excellent beer. Pronounced vanilla flavour with a great coffee backbone. The signature creamy Barncat mouthfeel. I went in for a DIPA but left with this instead :)

Re: Collective Arts

All of the above true. Basically a tweaked recipe, same entry / beer identity on Ratebeer for example. If I had to guess I'd say CA Jam has only gotten better. I haven’t had it for a while, will have to re-visit. Is it just me...or has Life in clouds changed as well. It’s definately not as hazy as ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Barncat Honey Bell. I’m honestly not usually a fan of honey in my beer, but this was a stunner. Sour and funky, perfectly balanced and lots of citrus. These guys may be the kings of the IPA, but every sour I’ve had had also been top notch. This may be the best of all their sours I’ve tried.

Re: What're you drinking right now?

My first offering from Fixed Gear, which opened last weekend. Their Pilsner.....and I’m pleasantly surprised. Nice and crisp, grassy undertones, some crackery goodness and a pronounced bitterness. It’s incredibly drinkable, and actually reminds me a bit of Jever

Re: Collective Arts

Ipa 5 A’s a vote brand would be epic. The best of the series so far, by a country mile. Wondering if they would drop the price for a core-brand beer though, as I remember it being close to 5$

Re: Fairweather Brewing

^^^agreed to all of this. I don’t get there as often as I’d like, but I’ve been a half dozen times over the past couple months. Everything I’ve grabbed has been good-great. There’s usually a good selection of styles in take home format as well as at the bar. I always seem to get a touch of real dank...

Re: Brothers Brewing

So it took me over a year to stop in here....and I live in Guelph. That’s how un-enthused I was about the place. And after giving it 3 tries now. I’ve had 3 different beers, all very average-below average. I’ve their saison, a stout and an ipa. I don’t remember exact pricIng(except the ipa I had on ...

Re: What're you drinking right now?

Northworks 9 toed sloth stout-very tasty dry stout, the best dry stout I've had in a long time. My third or fourth beer from Northworks and all have been solid. Bellwoods Tangerine Milkshark-drinkable AF, tastes like a glass of orange juice in the morning. Barncat Pilsner-super crushable, crispy and...
