Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

I believe it is OK to bring your own wine as long as the establishment is unlicensed.

For example, Eigensinn Farm;

Bummer. I always liked the Chop House, and it was of course the pub featured in the Pub Walk that was published in the Toronto Star in March of 2003.

It looks like we have a majority for the 18th. Do we want to book this date then?

Greg - would you be able to chat with Frank about us coming by?

OK, decision time. I think Thursday would be a good night, and I'm leaning towards Ciro's, since Frank has already offered to host an event, and most people probably have not been out there.

Do one of the following dates work:

March 11
March 18
March 25

(I cannot do March 4th).

Hi Propeller, Welcome to the forum! When your bitter first arrived at the Duke of Argyle I attempted to contact you guys, to no avail. Glad to see you've found the site! Can you provide us with a list of pubs where we can currently find your bitter? And do you have any future plans to bring bottles ...

Hi everyone, It's been a long time, but I've had some chats with some local beer folks about getting a Bar Towel gathering together again. For those who are relatively new, we've had a number of Bar Towel events in the past, such as a gathering at Joe's and the Granite, and a great bus trip last yea...

I was at the Esplanade Bier Markt on Thursday night and they had the Cantillon beers listed on their menu.

I asked the bartender if they had any (knowing the answer already), but he said "tomorrow morning". So maybe they're arrived?

I've always liked the Duke of Gloucester. It's very close to work, so I'm often there for lunches or after-work. Always been a big fan of the food - it's a great selection and good prices, especially for the Yonge/Bloor area. And you can't beat the Snug for privacy - there's usually never anyone in ...

Hi all,

Not sure if Stephen has posted this anywhere yet, but February is beerbistro's "Belgium Celebration" month.

They're hosting a number of related events, and you can find all the details on the beerbistro page which is now updated:
