Sorry, babe. I tried to stay faithful but you were gone too long. I met someone new. His name is Cameron. You'd like him... you have a lot of things in common. Maybe we can still be friends?

...or maybe you could come over while Cameron's here, and you know, what ever happens, happens...

I've been sustaining my hop fix on the various Hopheads and Fat Tug. I really ought to pick this up sometime... I think it's been about a year!

The local stores have delisted all the other regular CC brews, because they weren't selling.

This stuff is great and I'm happy it's back - even many newer craft beer people seem to really like this beer.

I just need to clear away some of the Mad Tom, Liberty Ale, Stone IPA, DFH 90, Ruination, Commodore Perry & Nugget Nectar...

did anyone else notice the price change on this? It's now listed at 2.55$ - hot deal!

That means 6 cans are ~$1.50 cheaper than a sixer of RPA, and the serving sizes are slightly larger (355 vs. 341). The down side? My cans have a best before date of late August. :-?

Didn't check the BB dates on the cans I bought. If it is in fact August. I don't think I'll have a problem consuming a 24 or 2 of these before then.

I bet those are fresh and it's just that they don't recommend an extremely long shelf life.

Someone could write them to ask, but next time I'm at the brewpub I'll try to remember to check the dates on their cans.

I think Driftwoods Fat Tug is dated best before 3 or 4 months as well. Sure they're still very drinkable after that (especially if they're in your fridge), but the hops are best when they're fresh.

Strangely, the Lighthouse Switchback is WAY better fresh. It seemed to go downhill after just a couple months in the fridge. I know people have commented on the Flying Monkey brews doing this as well. The late-hopping is great when it's fresh, but I think hops that are boiled a bit seem to be more stable over time. It might be a characteristic of the latest high-alpha varieties as well.
