Also, L'Amère A Boire deserves a mention. Good beer in a modest setting
I totally agree with both. L'Amère A Boire has been doing quality craft lagers for quite some time... many brewpubs still don't.

I'm sure I've spent more time at the Toronto Granite than any other brew pub. Henry House is great, but they don't brew there anymore.

I thought the Hart & Thistle waterfront patio was one of the best spots in the country... though maybe I just had too much Hop Candy.

On BC:
Their picks all have atmosphere. Howe Sound certainly has great beer, with Spinnakers up there too, but the Dockside & Canoe brews are rather pedestrian. Whistler could've been on THEIR list. But Central City certainly deserves mention, as well as all of the Mark James Group Pubs that serve good brews. Longwood has an impressive variety and does them extremely well. The Noble Pig in Kamloops is very good. I haven't been to the Moon Under Water, but I hear it's quite good too.

I haven't been to Yellowbelly, but my entire family have been on many occasions (some live close by, others went while visiting).
Apparently, this place has the worst service possible. No one in my entire family and even extended family will ever go back. I will see for myself soon.

Anyway, Keith's? Come on. I know it is an easy choice when writing an article, but there is no bloody way that Keith's is on that list, or Clocktower for that matter, and LES BRASSEURS DU TEMPS is not even on the list. To my mind, that is #1!!!
If you`re reading this, there`s a 15% chance you`ve got a significant drinking problem. Get it fixed, get recovered!

For sure, the 2 weeks of good summer weather that Halifax gets, that's a prime spot, no doubt. Very touristy though. Much better now that you don't see the condoms and poop flowing into the harbour from your primo seat (I assume the plants are back up and running, right???) ;-)

The inside sucks bad though. Never had charm when it was a food court, and they basically haven't touched it since. The booths they have are better, but otherwise they have the same tables and chairs they had when you bought overpriced pizza or fish n chips from the food court. They were built perfectly then to make you uncomfortable enough to get the food down your throat and move over for the next tourist to take your spot. Not ideal for enjoying a pint or 6.

I had forgotten that they don't brew at the Henry House anymore, so I guess they are disqualified. Well, a bunch of decent choices in Halifax anyway, warts and all, any of them better than the Keith's place!

Brasseurs is great, although I've had enough bad experiences to discount it as a likely top 10 in Canada. Best in Ottawa area by far though.

My thoughts exactly. I went to Clock tower and BDT on the same trip. I thought clock tower was terrible and BDT was great. Clock tower so high and BDT excluded destroys the credibility of this list.

Also surprised by no Granite. And shouldn't Bellwoods be on this list?
