Somebody is trying to burn the place down. Twice this week there have been vandalism and arson attempts. I suggest that we band together and provide 24 hour security and they provide the beer!
Pour la deuxième fois en autant de jours, le dépanneur Peluso, dans l'est du Plateau Mont-Royal, a été la cible d'un incendie criminel, tôt vendredi matin.
Les policiers ont été appelés vers 4h05 au 2500, rue Rachel Est, à l'angle de la rue D'Iberville. Un témoin a signalé un début d'incendie à l'intérieur du dépanneur Peluso, de la chaîne Boni-Soir.
«Il a aperçu des gens lancer des objets incendiaires sur le commerce», a indiqué Anie Lemieux, porte-parole du Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Les locataires du deuxième étage ont été évacués de façon préventive. Les dommages sont mineurs et personne n'a été blessé, a précisé Anie Lemieux.
C'est la deuxième fois cette semaine que le dépanneur Peluso est incendié. La Section des incendies criminels du SPVM a ouvert une enquête. «On ne sait pas pourquoi ce commerce a été ciblé», a indiqué l'agente Lemieux.
Le dépanneur Peluso, qui offre l'une des plus grandes variétés de bières québécoises dans la région de Montréal, est bien connu parmi les amateurs de bière.
