Anybody ever had these beers? If so, what would they compare to, and what are your overall opinions on the series.

I've had both Sang Noir and Sang Royal. I can't say I've had much experience with sours, but the general trend I've seen is a relatively small presence from the malt. Not so with Cascade, the malt is a big player alongside serious lactic and acetic acid. Sang Royal has a sweet cherry and port barrel flavour to complement the sour. Sang Noir brings the sweetness from whiskey barrels. My experience includes Cantillon, Jolly Pumpkin, Leelanau, Ontario stuff, Driftwood's Bird of Prey, and I'd say Cascade Sang series is totally unique.

Every sour I have had from Cascade has been at least decent. Their non-sour stuff is less exciting.
