Was there 2 weeks ago.
Well made beers IMO.. even if not my style - saison... a bit pricey but in a nice facility (someone dropped/is dropping some $$$ there)
They will do well with all the winery traffic.
http://www.silversmithbrewing.com/ is just down the street as well and is open for tasting. Black Lager is great and I tasted an RIS which was fantastic. Again some guys making a significant investment .
We're down there once a month for the NC Growler Club (just to see what the kids are brewing this month)
Throw in a stop at TAPS and the Merchant Ale House and its a nice sunday afternoon.
Overall a great thing for NOTL
yes i have:
Saison (4.5/5) - 750ml bottle from the brewery shared with jeff and joel. hazed golden with a big white head. do you know what really good saison is like? is has genuine country, rustic charm. it does not feel polished, it does not feel manufactured. it reminds you that the best things are handmade by artisens that care for there craft. it comes from a little red barn, in a vineyard, in niagara on the lake. this is really good saison.
Barnraiser (3.6/5) - 750ml bottle from the brewery. pours light orange with a small white head. nice hoppy nose, peachy, light pale malt. flavour is simple and clean. well hopped, tight and dry. super drinkable. great as a hoppy session beer, love thats is 5 %. ill be back for more.
Crop Duster (3.7/5) - growler scottatron shared with jsprime, joel, and myself. big spicy hot belgian yeast fermentation nose, not a lot of hop in the nose. the flavour is well crafted, peachy hop flavour, super dry finish. enjoyable, but would make a great summer beer.
I really like everything Ive had from them and Im really excited for whats coming.
