Brick Waterloo Spring Pack

Post by GregClow »

Brick has a new mixed six pack of Waterloo brands out for Spring, including 2 cans each of Amber, Classic Pilsner, and Iron Horse Bock. I picked one up at the Brock St. LCBO last night.

The Amber has been around for a while, but the other two are new. It's possible that the Pilsner is a rebrand/revival of JR Brickman Pilsner that was around a few years ago. And I thought the Bock might be a revival of the old Brick Bock, but once I got the pack home, I saw that it's a 5.5% "light golden" bock, so Heller rather than Dunkler.

Haven't tried any of them yet (well, aside from the Amber, which I thought was decent when it first came out), but will try to remember to report back when I've done so.

I just made a post about them in the random talk board. I may try this, but have not been happy with them for a while.

Thanks, Greg. Do you have the LCBO item number handy? Can't seem to find this on their website...

I'm assuming that they're probably used the same sku as they did for the previous mixed pack, so it's probably this:

Oh, and I finally had a chance to try one of the beers tonight.

Started with the Pilsner, and hey, it's pretty good! Comparable to some of the better German pilsners - light golden, bright white head, quite grassy with a dry mineral backnote. Impressively bitter in the finish as well, very herbal. Yeah, not bad at all...
