The 2nd Annual Casbah Craft Beer Festival

**NOW 2 DAYS OF CELEBRATION**

FRIDAY MAY 31 AND SATURDAY JUNE 1

Two years ago, I was discussing our business at The Casbah with my wife over a couple pints of hoppy ale. We touched on our dedication to supplying quality, live, original music to the Hamilton scene for over a decade, but that it felt like it was time to do more. As we sat and enjoyed the sun on our back deck, and drank our bitter, cold brews it struck us. My wife said it best, "Brodie you've been presenting underground-culture music to Hamilton for a decade, but you've been selling corporate beer". It was then we realized it was time to change our beer to better connect to the music we had been showcasing in our bar.

On the second anniversary of serving all-Craft Beer at The Casbah we are celebrating with our second annual *BREWS N' BANDS, CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL*. We hope you are able to celebrate with us. The festival will run two days, multiple sessions. Each session will close with a live musical performance (stay tuned for the special announcements on who will be there).

Tickets ($25 per session) go on sale for this event starting Tuesday, April 9th at 9 a.m. Ticket outlets will include The Casbah (during bar hours), Dr.Disc Hamilton (905-523-1010), on-line at

Info will be published shortly about the participating breweries, and the local food shops joining us, as well as an announcement about live bands will be spotlighting.

Over 25 breweries will be in attendance, and a half dozen local food shops. You receive 10 sample tickets with you admission, and additional samples can be purchased for $1 each.

There will also be live music at the end of each session. Bands to be announced.

It's with extreme excitement that we are announcing the particpation of HOZER! (Hamilton Ontario Zymurgy Enthusiast Ring) at this year's BREWS n BANDS! HOZER is a rapidly growing group of homebrewers in the Hamilton area, dedicated to refining their craft and sharing out knowledge. Their membership includes all skill levels, from novice brewers through to professional brewers with many years experience who also brew at home. -- HOZER is brewing specific beers to be sampled at our festival. I have my ticket, looking forward to this (as a HOZER myself!). I'm pretty sure one of the brews was made by a fellow Bartoweler/HOZER too.
