Men's Journal 8 best beers article

Post by Jon Walker »

When I saw on the cover of this month's Men's Journal that they had reviewed the "8 Best Beers on Earth - Bar None!" I was a little skeptical. After all, it's an outdoor fitness mag aimed at the GQ set...what could they possibly know about good beer?

Fortunately they picked a decent panel of reviewers and the list is pretty darn respectable. We'll all pick fault with some of the selections and the order in which they are ranked, but I think it's fair to say most if not all of the selected beers are pretty outstanding (with the exception being Guiness listed as a runner up in the "dark beer" category). I guess we should be grateful that "the best beer in the world", Saison Dupont, is in the current LCBO release. I wonder if "Saison Black Oak" will re-appear this year as well. It was superb last year, IMO. I'd love to compare the two.
