she's very attractive, earns good money and is skinny.

shall I go on?

anyways, probably the greatest thing i've seen. 48 fucking bottles.
Great photo!!!

A coworker of mine did the same. Granted a male but his wife also drinks. They grabbed five cases of Rochefort 8 before the price goes up and three cases of Abt 12. Insane.
Sorry, but there is too much other great beer out there to buy that amount of anything!! Unless you are getting 100 people who would appreciate it together. I have over 150 bottles of various beers in my cellar and I don't know if and when I will ever drink them. But yes, she does look attractive from this vantage point (and the beer definitely doesn't hurt).

this is a top tier beer. and it gets better with age.
she shares one with her boyfriend (sorry, boys) once a month and she's finishing it off when it will be hitting its prime 4 years from now.

i have 400 bottles of various beer in my cellar and yet i still bought 8 of the Abt 12 and will likely buy another 8 more. and i will get to each and every one of the bottles in my cellar. there are 7 days in a week and if my wife and i share a bottle 4 days a week, that's consuming 100 bottles a year. i fret not for the beer; i only fret for my visa bill.

Not too start an argument, as I definitely respect your beer drinking. I just differ from you in that I couldn't drink the same thing that often. Also, my wife doesn't like the stronger dark fruit tasting beers.

I bought 2 cases of the ABT 12, 4 cases chimay blue, 4 cases rochefort

figure I've got at least 5 years to drink them, possibly more. Never know if we'll see beers like these a few years from now at the lcbo, especially the rochefort at $2.55 a bottle

Exactly. I've still got a couple Abt 12 from 2010-2012 vintages knowing how great they get I've bought a case and likely buying another. One of my favourites.

Moi_Son - my cellar is only a little larger than yours (which to some on BT is actually quite small) it wouldn't take much to drink a couple hundred brews.

Wise words. Yes, the LC seems to cancel products very irrationally.

But maybe Rochefort product sells enough volume & fast enough the LC would have to admit they'd look foolish to cancel the 8 or even the return of 10. That would be kind of like turning their backs on Vintages wines that score over 95 in favor of Yellowtail.

Beer is now a prestige product!

when i was at Kulminator in May, i have a 2000 Chimay blue. trust me: they age well (they get sweeter after 5 years).

my only complaint with your actions is that the R 8 is like a watered down version of the 10. would rather wait and grab the 10.

Thanks for the info!

now that I've been drinking more of the rochefort 8, chimay blue, and the ABT 12, I have to say the chimay is my favourite.

Looking forward to seeing how it tastes in 10 years.

Next time we have a tasting remind me to bring some older Chimay - think I have some stuff that is 7+ years but definitely 6 or so - will give you an idea of what to look forward to :D

Not a new arrival but not sure where else to put this. I saw yesterday the LCBO and King and Spadina had a bunch of He'Brew Jewbilation 16 from last year.

I already had 1 in my cellar but decided to get one more for even longer aging. A friend told me there were still over 10 early this afternoon. This might really be the last of them.

good to be getting a different panil product, the price seems a bit high though

on the flipside, i think the van der keizer is cheaper than last time?

The keizer is a little more actually. Was $7.55 last year.

Is there still no official word on the holiday/winter release? Seems odd that the gift packs are already rolling into stores..
