Saw this at Summerhill today, this is an old-style (pre-micro-era) beer from Pittsburgh, PA from one of the surviving old-established regional brewers. Many of my 1970's/80's-era beer books mention this beer as in,
" a mug of 'arn". The beer is old-style but the package is new, the same aluminum bottle that Kick and Jenlain Gingembre come in. I laid away a couple to chill down, will report later.

I'd refer to it as "a mug of 'corn"...or p*ss, whichever...the only thing premium about this beer is the delusion of the brewers to call it such.old faithful wrote: Many of my 1970's/80's-era beer books mention this beer as in,

Just a suggestion...chill down another brand of beer right now so that you'll have something with which to wash the putrid taste off your tongue. This product makes Kool and Steelback look like Saison Dupont.
P.S. Come on LCBO you're kidding me (again) right? Whose picking your import orders for you, Barney from "The Simpsons"?

Well I just tried it. I wouldn't use your words, Jon, but it's not great. It's really too bad because apart from the adjunct this is a good beer, it's got a good grainy taste (probably 6 row barley) and some decent hop and yeast in the nose and taste - but the adjunct changes the taste it should have (and probably did have, say 80 years ago). Oh well, I've got my extra bottles I picked up of Elora IPA, dated to mid-Januray '06 no less and the December 5 one was great!
