I've been to Against The Grain on Laird a number of times and always enjoyed it but didn't realize that Longo's just the other side of the parking lot has a fully functioning bar and restaurant. A valued member of the board, Midlife Crisis, mentioned it to me, so I stopped by today.
Excellent! I had a flight of drafts from a well-chosen selection of 6 beers. One was King Pilsner which tasted great, no boiled veg taste as one could discern originally in the beer, clean but full-tasting.
I like the concept and good to know this exists, I was told they get people in the evening as well, which seemed unlikely to me but the chance to shop provides the impetus I guess.

I visit the Leaside Longo's frequently.
Usually 6 craft beers on draught, but always an IPA and a dark beer.
They have a decent bottle selection, too.
Service is friendly and efficient. It's in a great looking old building and has a nice environment, with enough TVs to watch the games.
Can't beat Pizza and a Pint for $10 on Sat, Sun, Mon.
When I'm in Oakville, I also make a point of getting into the Corks there, on Cornwall Rd.
Whole Foods and a top notch LCBO are just down the street.

Stopped in at the Corks Maple Leaf Square as I was downtown for a party.
Still going, and what struck me is how insanely cheap beer is here still. $7.50 for 20oz Amsterdam or Steam.
A decent option around Union Stn considering how WVRST Union’s prices have gone up quite a bit post pandemic.
