Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

In general, the stronger beers last longer for me, so the value is that I might only be consuming one beer in an evening, when otherwise I may have gone for two. Of course, the value here is purely monetary and might affect whether I think something is worth the expense or not. Sours also fall into this category for me - they tend to be stupid expensive, but that's moderated by the fact that I can't knock them back at the pace of a pils or IPA.
I get it, there are lots of subjective 'value adds', in the sense some of us like sour or hoppy or super-high-ABV beers and some don't. I'm not sure that more sour or more hoppy is a universal positive bias on value - but maybe it is, as reflected in very good RateBeer ratings for Cantillon and top-notch DIPAs? It's a buyer's personal in-store decision as to whether a beer being extra-this-or-that is 'value' or not.
More sippable / intense beers tend to be highly-rated.

This is a bit of a different way to look at it, and I tend to agree. Reminds me a little of my argument that I get better value out of green fees than most because I take more strokes.
Clutch canned on March 29th showed up at the Pickering LCBO and they are hazy as fuck. I've been championing Clutch for a year now. Best pale ale at the LCBO for that entire time.

I've only known of one sub-excellent batch, and it was an early December batch that wasn't nearly as hazy or juicy.
I've professed my love of Clutch a few times, and since I ran out yesterday and have to resort to drinking free Naughty Neighbour (woe is me, lol) I'll be on the prowl for some late-March cans. My fav. regular release at the LCBO, no question.
Clutch is my wife's favorite also, and i love it too. It looks like a glass of grapefruit juice, it's so hazy! She fell in love with Double Clutch at the Gtown Beer Festival last year, hopefully they will have that available again soon, especially with their 5x production which is upcoming

I would have thought the e-commerce system (as the KGBO likes to call it) would have been perfect for breweries with small production & limited distribution. Apparently not! Seems like the system is only being used for imports (incl Quebec) and stuff that is available in many of the stores anyway ...

I was able to get some Aromatherapy when it was briefly available online, which was nice since I'm in KW. I check back every so often to see if it's restocked and I haven't seen it since.
Would love to be able to get more stuff from "out east".
