New Arrivals at LCBO & TBS
LCBO's prices on quality Belgians continues to make no sense but i'm not going to complain
Funny it suggests drinking it within 1 year of the enjoy after date. Good old lcbo.

Hard to tell with a can. You might go a couple years on it, but really I'd want a stronger dopplebock for longer aging.
On the other hand it will make tasting exams for cicerone and bjcp easier having it in the market.

Cellaring beer is overrated. Drink fresh.
It's will be fine for a year or two, but don't cellar Doppelbocks just expecting an improvement. Germans release most beers fully finished for immediate enjoyment. This ain't no Belgian Quad or bourbon barrel aged RIS.
In Beerum Veritas
Thanks for the feedback.Belgian wrote:It's will be fine for a year or two, but don't cellar Doppelbocks just expecting an improvement. Germans release most beers fully finished for immediate enjoyment. This ain't no Belgian Quad or bourbon barrel aged RIS.
I was thinking more in terms of buying a few to last a year or so until the next release - seems KGBO releases certain types of beer on an annual rotation ...
@markhamwhisky
Yeah I have kept Weltenburger Doppel for a year or so for exactly that reason with no problems at all. Just put it away somewhere cool.
I thought the beer store was carrying Salvator, might want to check.

It's funny, the "new" one I bought in Ontario is from batch 4.... The one I bought in Buffalo is from batch 6 and is enjoy after 4.20.17spinrsx wrote:Funny it suggests drinking it within 1 year of the enjoy after date. Good old lcbo.

Enjoy By is just not feasible in Ontario but these bottles of Enjoy After have already matured and are tasting very good...
