Pepperwoods' Pepper Ale

Post by dhurtubise »

The current beer of the month is a pepper (chilli pepper ?) ale. It has good heat, with a similar base beer to their dry hopped bitter.

Paul, if you read these threads, I would like to make a request......

Please bring back one of your two malt forward beers - the mild or the brown - or at least have some kind of rotating beer schedule that would allow us to drink something darker, with richer malt notes, more body etc... Perhaps rotating a porter, stout, brown and the mild on the beer of the month tap once it is depleted... Please and thank you :D

Despite the above comment, Pepperwood still provides the the best all grain beers available from a brewpub anywhere near Toronto and is ALWAYS worth the drive out. The pale ale is an excellent hoppy american pale ale, their dry hopped bitter is an extremely hoppy version of it's English cousin, but with noble hops and all of the other beers are as always well crafted to the intended target.

For those who enjoy live music, Pepperwoods has it every thursday, friday and saturday. This weekend Paul Langile, a virtuoso guitar player is on tap. It is worth the drive just for this guy if you appreciate truly exceptional guitar players. Come have a listen with a great pint - please all of your senses.

The atmosphere at Pepperwoods is that of a jazz club, visually striking with perfect lighting and paintings, mostly of jazz performers, hanging on the walls. The food is exceptional, and compares favorably with Toronoto pricing.
