Propeller Brewery - Revolution Imperial Russian Stout
Propeller Brewery - Revolution Imperial Russian Stout
I spoke with Rob Poirer (new marketing and sales director) last week and he mentioned that this will be available either late today or early tomorrow to buy at the brewery and at a select speciality beer shops. I believe he mentioned that they would only have 341ml bottles at this time.

….Something to warm the soul over the winter months.
Work has begun on the Propeller Revolution Imperial Russian Stout. Imperial Russian Stout was the strongest of the “Russian Stouts” which were originally brewed in London and sent to the Baltic. The label design will be done by well know Nova Scotia artist Bruce McKinnon. Bruce is the award-winning political cartoonist for The Chronicle Herald/Mail Star. Propeller Revolution Imperial Russian Stout should be available here at the Cold Beer Store early this year.

As of Saturday, word is that it's delayed until at least Wednesday because of a labelling issue. Good to know it will be available at the private stores as well as the brewery. I'm almost as anxious to see the label as I am to taste the beer. Bruce is a great political cartoonist and he knows his beer.
Hi All,
Chris Ludlow here, Former Sales and Marketing guy for Propeller. I am currently over in Morocco teaching English where the beer is pretty crap to say the least.
Just wanted to let you know that the Imperial Stout is 8% and the label looks great. Kudos to Bruce Mackinnon on a great job.
I'm not sure if Rob Poirier, our new Marketing guy, reads or posts here but I can certainly keep you updated on Propeller. This year is Propeller's tenth anniversary and you can look forward to some great seasonal ales this year to celebrate.
Enjoy the beer!

GREAT Russian Imperial stout. I bought a couple today at Bishop's and have been very happy with them. I am drinking them at room temp after being in the fridge all morning. Very malty, thick but easy to drink and it doesn't taste like it is 8%. I am very impressed with all of John Allen's creations. I will be purchasing more for the weekend to share with the boys.
Enjoy Morocco Chris.
Enjoy Morocco Chris.
Propeller is a shining jewel in the Canadian craft brewing crown. There is not one of your beers I'm not partial to....the IPA is an excellent well crafted session IPA and the wheat ales this summer were really tasty. The porter was very drinkable and I look forward to tasting the ImpStout.propeller wrote:Hi All,

There should be a concerted effort here to get these great NS Craft brews on Ontatrio and Alberta shelves...this is one NS brewer that should have the distribution of Unibroue and McAuslin...and dare I say it...Keith's

Aventinus rules!
