Enjoyed a very nice lunch at La Brasserie yesterday. I was envious of those who made it to the Bavik Tasting the other night, but I had the pleasure of trying a new beer there. The Yersekes Mosselbier has arrived. It is a tasty little Belgian Ale at 5.2% but most enjoyable. If You can, drop by.

Cheers, happy hunting, Doug

Thanks Doug, just found this site. Glad you enjoyed your visit. Tasting was a blast. This Thursday is Creemore tasting. Abbey Roch is also in next week, you may want to come by abd try it!

Did you just say Abbaye des Rocs? As in the world-class Abbaye des Rocs?

Yes indeed Josh. Finally. In really REALLY short supply though -- only at labrasserie.ca and Smokeless.

Catch it while you can.

Cheers, Paul

I had an Abbaye des Rocs at Smokeless on Saturday. Ohmigod, what an amazing beer! I encourage everyone to hit one place or the other soon and try a bottle.

I definitely need to check this place out. I remember its opening, as McAuslan was on tap at the very beginng - I walked by after work one day but didn't go in. Great to see that they're doing the tastings, too.

Michelle, I notice the menu on your website includes a "Chef's Plate w/ 48 hour notice" entry.

Would this be akin to the Japanese "tasting" menus where the customer specifies a [large] budget in advance and lets the chef go nuts to impress?
