I think that both Volo and C'est What still have some bottles if you're ever in downtown Toronto.

lagerale,
Very interesting that You had "lucky case #13"? I'm looking at the certificate which Perry prepared for the release of this lovely beer, and according to this,I received two cases numbered twelve and thirteen. hmmm.

The jury is still out on this years imp stout. My input was minimal, so I can't really take too much credit ( or blame) for the outcome.
I am making a special Christmas ale again this year. Christmas Cake is a dark ale brewed with currants, dates, figs, and plums. It is oak aged and available only as real ale. The first ones will go next week to Volo, C'est What and The Castle on King.
Further "one-offs" should come sporadically while I try to keep the rust of my brewing skills.

I don't have any certificate, just the #13 written on the case....

I'm pretty sure I ended up with a case numbered differently from my certificate as well. I think it was because the one with the right number was buried under a bunch of stuff in Perry's van.

My #16 case and my certificate match.

#16 was the BEST of the squared number cases, very symmetrical tasting.

It seems broadly hinted that Heritage is in control of things.

Thomas Hardy is an excellent example of how good the LCBO prices sometimes are. This beer retails for 3.28 British Pounds for a 250 ml bottle. This works out to $6.72. If the LCBO is going to sell it for $4.00, its a real bargoon.

I bought 250ml bottles in Vancouver for $4.50 last year...that ain't bad either considering the freight charges.

Speaking of Barley wines, has anyone heard of Mill street is making one this year?? I see they pulled their listing from the BO??? :-?

Mill Street has a 2007 Barley Wine, it is out right now and selling from the brewpub. It's packaged in a ceramic-style swingtop bottle.
