La Fin Du Monde on tap anywhere in Ontario ?
Hi. First post here. Just wondering if one of my favourite beers, La fin du Monde, is on tap anywhere in Ontario ?
Any suggestions for other Unibroue beers on tap are welcome. I've been to the Beer Bistro and had Maudite there. Looking for others !
thanks

La Fin du Monde has never been on tap in Ontario. I have had it in the States, but the east coast rep for Unibroue, when I asked him about it later, said that it was a one-off, unlikely to ever be repeated. Mind you, that was before Sapporo bought Sleeman, so attitudes might have changed, but given that I've not seen it again in any of the beer bars I frequent south of the border, I expect not.

I'm enjoying a bottle of La Fin right now, it's been aged for 13 months. I bought a sixer last year, and since I was still really new to beer, I didn't understand it, nor could I properly appreciate it. So I put the rest of the pack away, knowing that it was theoretically meant to age. So even after just a year and a month, it seems to be changing, for the better. It's darker in colour, a lot more yeasty, and the fruity elements seem to be getting slightly more complex. I can't wait to revisit in another year or two!
Sorry for going slightly off-topic, but I'm just excited as this is my first personally aged beer I've ever had.

Unibroue taps are fairly hard to find. McLean's Pub in downtown Montreal has (or, at least, had) three or four Unibroue taps, all of which were dry when I was there a couple of years ago.Gedge wrote:The Cloak & Dagger had Maudite on tap last time I was there (November). Can't say I've seen FDM on tap. Would love to try Trois Pistoles on draught though (I couldn't even find it on tap in Montreal last summer).

Cannondale...
Not much right now unfortunately. Only Blanche de Chambly. My buddy got the last glass of Maudite on Wed....the keg ended 1/2 way through my pour.
I was told before they were bringing in Éphémère next, once the Maudite was done, but apparently not. The replacement coming in is Mill St Tankhouse.
