And is this reason to get excited about a possible increase in production of Denison's Weissbier? Because we all know what that could lead to... :D
Isn't Denison's made at Mill Street?

EDIT - never mind, I keep seeing the Denison's Brewery (Mill St.) listing at Ratebeer and thinking they mean Mill Street Brewery rather than Mill Street the street. The street name is just there to distinguish it from the old Denison's brewpub in case anyone is wondering why they have it isted that way.

Actually, the "(Mill St.)" does refer to Mill Street Brewery. That's where Michael brewed first after the closure of the pub. He moved to Black Oak at some point, but the RateBeer listing was never changed.

Well, look at that. I didn't think to actually check the address they have for Denison's (Mill St.) to see if it's the same as the Mill Street Brewery. Thanks for clarifying.

Sorry to take the topic back :D

Number 3 was a great night and the food that Whole Food sponsored was pretty darn sweet. Smoked pulled pork and smoked sausages.

The cask turned out to be a pomegranate Cream Ale with a little dry hopping round it out, nicknamed The Pombomb. Not your typical January beer but a great effort none the less.

The craziest attendee award goes to Gardhouse for walking from the train station to the brewery on a pretty cold night.

Check out our facebook profile for pics and video.

Next cask night is set, hope some of you can make it.

Cheers
Jason

My SO and I took the plunge and did the GO/cab thing from Toronto. It was a good thing we did, because driving home was not an option - there was an abundance of free and exciting beer that I was unable to resist. The PomBom the highlight of the evening - a hint of sour/sweet fruit with a dry hop finish. I only wish it had a bit more bubble to it.

In an ad hoc bonus unlikely to be repeated, staff shared a few beers from their stashes: we tried an Abita Purple Haze, something heavy from Three Floyds and a Mikeller IPA (maybe the Chinook?).

It’s worth the ride to Oakville. We plan to bring friends next time to share the experience. Many thanks to Jason, John and Jim for their hospitality.

I hope this becomes the trend for most people (though I would not recommend walking it).
Its money well spent, plus when your carrying a case of beer, you make friends REALLY fast! (I seriously ended up having five or so random conversations with people on the way back to the hammer).
