Greetings,

We could probably get some Hop Sun up here if we were to put another sizeable private order together. However, much of what Southern Tier brews is pre-sold to US distributors so we would have to check on availabilty seeing that Hop Sun is a popular summer beer.

I just came across the Southern Tier labels:

http://beernews.org/2008/04/southern-ti ... -approval/

It's actually an Imperial Cherry Saison that weighs in at 8%.

I couldn't help but notice that R+R have updated their website with news about some new ST beers that will be available:

Put me down for a case of each!

I took a chance on a case of the Back Burner last week (I'm normally not a barley wine kinda guy) and was pleasantly surprised at how much I like it. The flavour is distinctly "Southern Tier-y" and not a million miles away from the Unearthly.

Oh believe all you read, it is a fantastic brew. I had a bottle over the weekend that was only 8 days old. When the cap is pried off the aroma of vanilla just wafts out and punches you right in the nose and doesn't stop. The aromas of vanilla and hints of coffee as it's poured are delightful. The taste is pure vanilla - bitter, sweet & sticky. And the finish is long and very bitter. I'm guessing it's still a very young beer and could do with sitting for a few weeks to allow the vanilla to settle down a bit; it totally over powers the hops and everything else.

Get one and enjoy!!!!

Oh, the Cherry Saison is very disappointing. More of a Weisse beer than a Saison and there is hardly, if any, taste of Cherry. There was certainly nothing on the nose.

The R&R site has 'shipping in July' for the ST Creme Brulee.
Hoping the call for orders comes out soon.....this is the kind of beer (from the sounds of it) that would just knock a bunch of my pals upside down, because of the unique flavour and style.
Can't wait to grab some and surprise people with it...(and enjoy plenty myself!)

I brought back a couple of bottles from our Buffalo & Rochester trip. Massive vanilla aroma and flavour. Very tasty! My only wish is for a 6% version. Damn that's a heavy and noticeable 10% to drink.

Are these still available? My girlfriend is going to get me a case of each for Christmas and I'm supposed to find out if they are. Thanks!

More great beers coming soon, so we have to make some room in our consignment allocation. Thus, Cherry Saison is priced to sell at $90 per case (12 x 650 ml). First come, first serve basis. Contact us by email.
