Indeed. But Cass used his usual prudent judgement and headed the thread off before it really got out of hand.Torontoblue wrote:Well, there's really only one person on this board who is moaning and he hasn't stopped since signing up. And now has the honour of having a thread closed.

last time I checked...there are a lot of posters doing a lot of moaning about TBS and the LCBO (which I think is justified...).
but I get the grief.
hopefully the DFH..promised by the LCBO in July...will be here by October...as it sits in the warm warehouse...held hostage by Mao Tse McGuinty's lab testers......
p.s. if anyone wants to respond to my specific questions/critiques...as opposed to wagging their finger...for no apparent reason...I am all ears.

Poor, misunderstood Buju...bujubanton wrote:p.s. if anyone wants to respond to my specific questions/critiques...as opposed to wagging their finger...for no apparent reason...I am all ears.
No, I don't think most of us feel the need to refute your scatalogical postings (calling them critiques is giving yourself far too much credit) since you have an amazing ability to ignore the sane responses people offer you and carry on spouting the same nonsense.

It appears that the DFH60 has passed lab and today we were asked to re-quote...in fact, to raise our price as our quote would have resulted in a retail price of $13.85 per 6-pack instead of $13.95. We are re-quoting and raising our price and we should see this hitting the shelves in a week or so. This is the exact opposite of what happned to ST but it's the same issue. We set the price and the LCBO is good enough to give us the opportunity to either stick with our original price or change it...I for one have no criticism of this policy, buju notwithstanding.

bujubanton will positively implode at this news.esprit wrote:It appears that the DFH60 has passed lab and today we were asked to re-quote...in fact, to raise our price as our quote would have resulted in a retail price of $13.85 per 6-pack instead of $13.95. scatalogical? do you know what that word means Jon Walker?
sorry, but not imploding at the news of a 10 cent increase.
but as for retail prices..it is still the LCBO that is inflexible...they never take any action that might actually reduce the retail price.
I still don't get this 3 week standard delay in the warehouse though..even if there is a queue for testing. If they actually cared about the customer, they would re-allocate resources so that beer....which actually does not get better in the warehouse...would get to the shelves more quickly.

Do you have any idea of the amount of products that go through the LCBO daily/weekly/monthly? If you did then you'll realise why they give that timeline for testing products (plus they are unionised too, so that won't quicken things up). Peter has already explained the process more than once to you yet you still don't take any information in. Why don't you contact the LCBO direct and see what reply you get from them instead of bitchin' 'n moaning on here.

I for one will never again respond to a buju post...please, oh please, let's make it a bartowel policy...let him yank his crank on screen and if we ignore him he will go away and focus on the porn he normally accesses as he obviously just wants attention. There is no intelligent discourse here. If any of you respond to him, rabbit will rise from the dead and deal with this, and it won't be pretty!

Having never experienced Rabbit first hand, I am curious about this seemingly mythological poster.esprit wrote:I for one will never again respond to a buju post...please, oh please, let's make it a bartowel policy...let him yank his crank on screen and if we ignore him he will go away and focus on the porn he normally accesses as he obviously just wants attention. Not really mythological...he's as easy to find as a "by author" search. Digging back in the vaults here's a little sample to give you the general flavour...DragonOfBlood wrote: Having never experienced Rabbit first hand, I am curious about this seemingly mythological poster.

I think you guys are being a bit hard on buju here. He's basically saying the same thing we all have for years. I don't really see how he's threatening the integrity of the community by posting what he does.
As for DFH 60: Will it arrive in one big shipment to all stores, or will the stock eventually be refreshed? If it's all in one go, I may as well stock up for the fall because I can't imagine myself drinking much else...and that includes water. Otherwise, I can afford to buy one sixer at a time.

wow...that rabbit guy was a real a-hole...DFH60 has so much pent-up demand that I imagine the larger stores will stock up with large quantities up front and that there will be little back-up stock left. We are actively talking with both the LCBO and DFH about scheduling the next order but that certainly won't arrive here before mid-October so we could have stock outs in smaller stores who only took a few cases.
I am glad to see with the summer shadows getting longer, we will at long last be seeing the DFH 60.
