Toronto bar roundup in this month's All About Beer

This month I made my debut as All About Beer's "Beer Traveller" columnist. My first article was about bars in Toronto, my favorite summertime destination--and not just for beer.

Establishments mentioned in the article include The Rebel House, Bow & Arrow, Allen's, C'est What, Smokeless Joes, Madison Avenue (limited beer selection but great summertime ambience), and Granite Brewery.

I don't know whether AAB is distributed in Ontario. If it isn't, it might be 2-3 months before the article turns up on the publication's website, http://www.allaboutbeer.com.

Just thought you'd like to know there are Ontario microbrew fans living on the other side of the border.

Paul, what about Castro's? And the Winking Judge isn't worth a mention? Aaaakkk!

Castro's is an excellent addition, but the 'Judge is a must visit if you're in that area of Ontario. The beer selection, atmosphere, and the wonderfully snarly staff make it one of Ontario's great bars.

I'd like to put the Winking Judge in a future article about beer bars--first I need to pay a visit!

I've added Castro's to my list for my next trip across the border.
