Nice. Same here.

I did Raspberry Wheat, Hop Yard, Amber, and I'm just plucking up the courage for a jalepeño ale.

Maybe I'll procrastinate with a Nut Brown. Because I don't think the jalepeño will agree with me.

So far the Hop Yard is the winner for me. You?

Normally I'd be drinking the japaleno but I just don't feel like trying it tonight. I really liked the GL Peach & Pepper ale at the last Cask Days and I've got a Rogue Chipotle Ale waiting for our ultimate Bad Movie Night.

I'm not a hophead so I'm not about to pound back a session of them but I don't mind it once amid 4-6 brews for variety. I'll declare my winner once I get through the Amber and Maple.

As I suspected the jalepeño wasn't my thing. It burned my throat. Oh well. I'm sure I'll find some unwitting victims for the remaining three. It's weird because I love spicy food, but for some reason I seem to hate heat in beer.

Anyway, I'm finishing up with an Irish Red Ale, the only one of the Mixed 6 I have had before, and it's a close second to the Hop Yard for me. I love it.

I drank a jug of urine. It tasted really cold. It was actually the coldest tasting thing I'd ever had. And by urine I mean coors light.

Victory Prima Pils. I think it's an interesting interpretation.

I kind of eyeball my recipes, but it goes a little something like this...

A little less than 2 cups of flower. 1 3/4 Cup. Amaranth and Graham flour have a great taste for this.
2 Tbsp of Baking powder.
some salt 1/2 to 1/4 tsp
2 Tbsp of dark brown sugar
a pinch of cinnamon

a bottle of oatmeal stout
2 Tbsp of veg oil.

mix dry. mix wet in with dry. it's pretty thick and airy. this is not a bad thing. and then throw spoonfuls of this stuff in a hot pan, flip, and eat!

grated dark chocolate, bananas and buckwheat honey are all good ways to top these puppies.

These are intensely heavy.

enjoy!

Rodanbach Grand Cru that I left in the freezer too long. It turned out to be a delicious slush beer that was rather enjoyable.

Prima Pils with pizza at lunch.
Amsterdam Strong Bock with Spicy baked beans & pork for dinner.
Black Oak Saison in the evening, while cutting some copper for a new mash tun.
