I just recently found out that the DENISON'S BREWING COMPANY has sadly closed.

The beer I miss the most is their Weizen beer. Here's a quick blurb...

"It is, however, their summer seasonal-turned year-round beer, Weizen, which deserves the most attention. This beer is one of Toronto's greatest local brews. The wheat is imported from Germany by a co-owner. "

I have to totally agree here. If anyone can recommend a beer similar to this one, I'd love to know where I can get it

How about the exact same beer. It is available at a number of establishements. Notably at the the Beerbistro though I am sure that many will chime in right about now and tell you other places (it is brewed at by the masterbrewer of denison's at Mill street brewery and called Denison's Weizen). Enjoy!

Good to see that you've found us (me) again thanks to a little help from our friends at Bar Towel, and have a deeper  understanding of the whereabouts of the Weizen, now known as Weissbier. Take a look at the very simple website http://www.denisons.ca as well. The list showing availability of beer needs updating as soon as I find out how to do it. Do give me a call at 647-227-8963 anytime.
