What're you drinking right now?
I often find Stone's "one-off' beers are quite remarkable. That VE 080808 reminds me a bit of De Dolle Dulle Teve. I've enjoyed the Stone Anninersary Ales a lot - I mean how does this brewer keep dashing off such interesting, balanced ales so effortlessly? I even liked the Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout.Jon Walker wrote:Stone Vertical Epic 080808
I killed off my first case of Ola Dubh 12, one more to go...

- Hoptical Illusion (more aroma hops than it used to have, but possibly less bitter overall)
- Konig Ludwig hefe (tastee)
- 2 x James Ready (I was at a friend's house...)
- Niagara's Best Blonde (better than expected, kinda like Boreale Blonde but better)
- Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout (I'm appreciating how complex this beer is, but I don't think I like it as much as others do. I'm happy to be stuck with my St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout)
