The 40 was being unpacked at Summerhill tonight when I was there. I was told they got about another 12 cases. Debated picking up another bottle, but two Rogue Brutal Bitters and two Muskoka Hefes ended up being cheaper.

Lots of inventory listed at King and Spadina! They were still in the back when I showed up.

Picked up four bottles (one for me, one to age, one for crushinat0r, one to trade/gift/bribe/etc).

Felt a little sheepish buying this stuff, because the only people picking up booze at that time of day are alcoholics. The guy behind me was flabbergasted that I'd pay so much for beer when you can get the same buzz off a six-pack of cheap generic brew.

Ahh the breakfast club........one of the only reasons I love working days. It is so much fun to secretly make fun of them.
Funny thing is, they all have an array of excuses as to why they are constantly buying booze at 9:30 AM.

Vintages wine-hunters are in the store well before noon, open a bottle immediately at lunchtime, and - if they like it - go right back to clear out the store before 2 PM.

So. You were saying? :)

So, assuming greater availability how much are people planning to buy of this? I bought a couple bottles in the first release, and I think I'll buy a couple more in this one. If it sticks around for a few days I may end up buying more.

I'm about to head to King/Spadina on my lunch break and pick one up. I'll try it tomorrow and if I think is worth it (and stock is still left), I'll buy more. I'm usually not too price sensitive with beer, but at $18.50 a bottle, I'm a little more cautious.

That is probably your best option.

I got two there at lunch, they didn't have it on the shelves, but the big stack of cases was visible through the doors in the cold beer area and the staff grabbed them for me. They said they hadn't had the time to build the display for them and get them on the shelves yet.

Now i have an 18 at home and a 40, so i can do a comparison, maybe break them out with my bottle of TNP for an all scottish strong beerathon Sunday, while hopefully watching an Olympic Gold Medal game.

I was just at King/Spadina, they are on the shelves and the clerk said they were flying off the shelves. Similar to Olympic mittens

They were on the shelf when I got there just after 12:30, but looked to be just put up because there were still in a perfect rectangle. When I got to the register the clerk said, "These things have been selling like crazy."

So maybe I won't be able to try it and then go back tomorrow if I wanted to buy more!

I was there about 12:10, so my asking must have prompted them to get the cases out and stop being pestered by customers.

I expect they will move quickly, even at the price as there is a curiosity factor about the product.

Zero.

I bought two from the first release. Drank one. I enjoyed it, but I didn't $18.40 enjoy it. So I gave the second one to a buddy for Christmas. He said, and I quote, "It's all right."

None. Despite there now being a supply next door I wasn't too enamoured with the 12 and I can't justify paying $18.40 for the 40.

Bought six, wife and I drank one each, four left in cellar. Going back for 4 more, but those will be for Christmas gifts, I think.

I agree, not the ~best~ thing going and I don't think they're worth the price. I just REALLY like the little medallions.
