I came across this story today detailing a new bar to open this May in Calgary called the Bottlehouse beer Parlour, also finding their new website.

Aside from its unfortunate description as a gastropub (insert my rolling eyes here and perhaps minute bits of vomit) it supposedly promises 70 different Canadian beers. I was hoping for a coast-to-coast trip from Phillips to Garrison, but checking the website for their preliminary beer-list, it seems more of a tour from Kokanee to Keith’s. Listing a scant 30-some Canadian beers so far, here’s hoping they round out their selection with some bolder choices before they open.
Another place to (maybe) try for those Bartoweler's passing through.
Edit: In retrospect, I suppose I could have posted this in Local Beer Guides.

Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!

The picture on that link shows a grand total of ZERO beers that could be considered Canadian.
That being said, the beer menu isn't that bad.
Finally got down to Kensington to try this place out. 70 beers. Half macro with the other half mostly safe, gateway micro. Rochefort 6 was the most daring beer available. Definitely catering to the after work professional rather than the more adventurous drinker. However, the pub style fair is well above average, it has a very appealing open layout complete with exposed beams, helpful friendly staff and a nice patio (a rarity in Calgary). I’ll definitely hit it up again when I’m in the neighbourhood, but it’s not a major beer destination, per say.
