Introducing Light Mode! If you would like a Bar Towel social experience that isn't the traditional blue, you can now select Light Mode. Go to the User Control Panel and then Board Preferences, and select "Day Drinking" (Light Mode) from the My Board Style drop-down menu. You can always switch back to "Night Drinking" (Dark Mode). Enjoy!
So, we've been hitting the streets to sign up some bars for the Beer Week, and the response has been fantastic. Its great to know that so many licensees are behind the idea of expanding and enriching the local beer scene. We'll be posting details of participating establishments on the website shortly, with events following soon after.
Bars and events should start populating the website shortly, though we are proud to announce our first event (well...more of a competition) - the TBW Homebrew Contest 2010.

They'll be in, but not judging - that would be unfair! Judges will be drawn from the TBW board, which includes brewers, bar owners, beer media, and even the fella that set up this forum.

I don't think they should be allowed to partake - it's not fair on the other participants
You guys need to try more homebrew! Russ and Eric do stellar stuff, but I'm amazed by how high the quality has been from other brewers on this board. I think the homebrew scene is really competitive here, and we're hoping that shows in the comp. Heck - Matt gave me a few beers that are probably amongst the best I've had this year!
