if you order through Espirit, don't you have to get a get like 40 cases minimum?
heard back from the LCBO regarding Dogfish 90 min and theres a 60 case minimum through them...!

My gut says that you probably could organize an order and get takers for 60 cases, like we did for Great Divide. Any volunteers?

Speaking of which - and not to thread jack - remind me again why we haven't done the Great Divide order #2? Was there some shortage on the brewery end or was it just too much work for those BarTowelers putting it together? I can't remember why it fell through. Either way, I say we have another go at it! There aren't a ton of beers I'd be willing to commit myself to a full case worth but Oak Aged Yeti (or regular Yeti, or Titan IPA, or Old Ruffian) are all exceptions. Plus with all the new members on the board I'm sure we could fill the minimum order much easier.

maybe not, as i also asked about the Midas Touch and it was also 60 cases...
if they would bundle cases we could sure put a pallet together quick!

We thought we should tell you that we are awaiting a response from Great Divide - with their blessing, we will do our best to bring in some of theirs beers as soon as possible. It might have to go through Consignment (that way the producer can get paid before shipping the product).

One way or another, we will keep you posted.

There's no listing fee at the LCBO, Belgian. There are a lot of hoops to jump through to get something listed, but that ain't one of em.

Esprit just aren't customer friendly. A minimum of 60 cases is so prohibitive and that's the way he wants it.

I seem to remember that the LCBO was slow in paying Great Divide when we did the order, which may necessitate the consignment order. I for one would be fine with consignment since I've had nothing but excellent service through R+R.

That is (potentially) excellent news. Thanks R+R! I'll be looking forward to it if this goes through (*knock on wood*). Great Divide is certainly at the top of my list of breweries I fantasize about represented here in Ontario.

While it would not be unreasonable to assume an LC employee has some self-interest in defending the big bad 'BO (that's human nature) I get the feeling in Steelback's case he is way more proactive than this, and does what he can to promote all good beer to people (at the LC he works and area bars and events etc.)

I don't think SB would bother posting on this forum as he does if he were the cynical stereotype of a 'lazy' LC employee 'just protecting his job.' If there are such individuals why would they bother?

Besides he as a good sense fof humor when we do take the occasional shot at his crown-corp job status!

Thanks TB. So is one of those 'hoops' some kind of payola?

Free trips or other benefits to grease the wheels of progress... I've heard of such unethical dealings among our overseas wine buyers etc. (oh no that would be 'conspiratorial' LOL. Cue the 'eye rolling' emoticon!)
