Westmalle Tripel from 09 Spring release?, very fruity, caramel apple flavours and a juicy mouthfeel.

Since I am unable to get out to support the DDC events this weekend, it's lots of DDC at home - Corne du Diable and my favorite (of this recent release) Derniere Volonte - could drink this one for a LONG time.

struise pannepot

heres my review:

330ml bottle from a kw private order. 2008 vintage. pours deep hazy brownish red with a lasting tan head. aroma of toffee, caramel, coffee, dark berry, and spice. the flavours is much bigger and massively complex. rich aged roasty malt flavour upfront with dark berry and spices after. long complex and balanced. world class stuff.

7/5/9/4/16 - 4.1/5

2009 Fullers Vintage Ale, great cask-like feel and the flavor is certainly developing. Drank it over two days and the bit of oxygen helped it.

I've tried this a couple times and didn't care for it. Still have a 2007 in the cellar, hoping some aging might help.

Last night was Lost Abbey Red Barn ale. I didn't like this at all when I sampled it at a Lost Abbey tasting a few months ago, but this bottle was damn fine.

On a cool, sunny, Sunday afternoon when the barbecue gets lit it will be GL Pumpkin ale.

Have GL Pumpkin in fridge.

Drinking De Dolle Boskeun, another great reason to visit Buffalo. DD's beers are always vibrant, aggressively bottle-conditioned and full of spice-lemon-fruit flavor. If only De Dolle were sold here...

Yeah, it's pretty boring. Light malt character, light hop character, just booze.
