Sam Adams Octoberfest

Post by Hawks28 »

didnt see this mentioned in any of the other threads. Just picked up a 6 of SA Octoberfest at a Scarborough LCBO this afternoon. Had no idea it was coming, so it was a nice surprise. Checking the lcbo website, looks like its in about 10 stores so far, selling for 13.50. Also picked up one of those Paulaner packs at the same store.

Excellent news, although I must say that the LCBO's haphazard way of releasing things is very confusing. The beers that are scheduled to show up don't (or at least not for a while), while the unannounced beers like Octoberfrest, Hop Nouveau, and Saranac Pale Ale quietly appear on the shelves. Oh well, the more good beer the better I guess!

Picked up a sixer this week. It does seem odd and a missed opportunity that the LCBO doesn't seem to tell anybody about these releases.

I had it on draft in these monster Sam Adams glasses at Applebees in the US and rather enjoyed it, so naturally I picked up a couple of sixes here. Unfortunately I was told it was a one shot deal and if I liked it to grab what I could as it was out in the warehouse, no re-orders.
